Nathaniel, beter known to his friends and acquaintances as “Natz”, and known in the running community as “JoggerNatz” is actually not so much a jogger as a real runner. His effortless stride and relaxed appearance might have more of a jogger’s style than that of a runner, but don’t be decieved. This man has not only broken the elusive 20-minute barrier in the 5K but also ran under 1’35” in the half Marathon!
Despite these impressive achievements, he remains one of the most modest guys you could ever meet. Always open to giving as well a receiving advice, he makes a very good training partner. But Natz does most of his training solo: clocking in 100km in an average week, his disciplined attitude towards his training allows him to do this, and as a result has a ludicrously low resting heart rate of 43bpm – in the realm of professional athletes.
Outside of running, Natz is a talented guitarist, specializing in classical/finger style playing. Also, despite the disciplined and strict training program, he’s not one to shy away from a good session of relaxing and drinking quality beers from time to time!
