When did you start running? Why did you start running? March 21, 2010 is my first fun run event at Globe Run for Home. But prior to that my Husband and I have been running for fitness and health maintenance.
What is your favorite distance? Why? 5K
What is your most memorable running moment? Event? Whenever I get a chance to go up the stage because I placed in an event. The Yakult 10 Miler Run event is one of my favorite because I got to share the victory with running friends and family. And it was totally unexpected.
Who are your running idols? Elma Muros, Michelle Estuar, Flordeliza Donos, Rio dela Cruz, Argo Cuaton, Wilnar Iglesia
What was your weight before you started running? What is your weight now? 120LB and still remains the same. Though sometimes I drop at 115lb.
How many pairs of shoes do you own? 2. Nike Structure 13 and VFF Speed
What was your "slowest" race? Front Runner's 25K Valley Trail Run (28K = 04:37:56)
What are your usual pre-race activities? Pack things before sleeping, Banana and Protein Drink for breakfast. Dynamic Stretching. Pray
What is your favorite non-TPB singlet? Team KTT Singlet
What is your target race? What is your target finish time? The Bull Runner Dream Marathon though its not really a race. Hope to finish it at Sub-4:30.
Forefoot, midfoot, or heel? Heel Stricker but because Im training barefoot running, Im starting to learn midfoot running
What was your worst injury? How long were you sidelined? My Big toe in the left died and nail fell off. Rested a week after that still running. I had ITBS for almost half a year and discovered the wonders of deep tissue massage. After some proper rest (at least a week without run) and proper stretching it never came back.
How many races have you raced already? What is your total mileage since you started running? 42 (and still counting), 877KM and still counting (looking forward to my 1000Km
How did you get into TPB? When did you join TPB? Nick first invited me, then Mark Mulder, then Ka Totoy, I politely declined because we just formed a running group with Team KTT and I thought serving many masters would be difficult. Also at that time I was facing my "runner's low", Got another invite from Ronnel and I thought its a sign I should get into the group now that I want to pursue and train with fast runners.
What is your message to TPB fans and supporters? This is my motto now: DREAM THE RUN...RUN THE DREAM
In your own words, what is running to you? Running is a BOND. A bond with your inner self, A bond with a friend, A bond with your love ones.
If you are to create a running event what will you name it? Run Mommy Run. I started running with the thought of influencing mommies to do the activity. Its great to see mommies participate in this event along with their kids.
If you are to create a team of 5 runners for a 5 x 32 km race, who will your members be (can be anyone, runner or not, living or dead)? Hmmm...Ka Totoy, Chris Iblan, Buenavista, Cris Sabal, Wilnar Iglesia...Sure win!
